pristine-tar software package provides regenerate pristine tarballs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pristine-tar
pristine-tar is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pristine-tar package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pristine-tar *
You will get with pristine-tar package name, version, architecture and description in a table
